In Response To: Re: Which is the real BP nationals? Repost (Regina Hackney)

Regina,

I understand completely why there is a desire for a September meet. That does not mean that it makes sense to me. I have not BASHED anything. I simply raised concerns over an issue and I stand by what I said.

I do not know who made the decision to make the change, I assume it came from the E.C. The reason it was changed to March this year was to accommodate the calendar change this year.

The reason Jennifer gave for running another nationals: "The spring schedule is too cluttered affecting the participation. Plus having the nationals back in Sept. will allow more preparation for worlds" There is no mention of the calendar change, as that was supposed to addressed by the change that went on this year. The change to the May World meet is addressed on the USA Powerlifting home site back in Aug. 2005. (I am not attacking Jennifer or what she said. Just quoting her as that is my only reference.)

Because I care about the lifters and meet director from last weekend and the image of our organization, this some how makes me a basher? Perhaps the majority think my concerns are "overblown," that is something that I have become familiar with already and I can live with people disagreeing with me.
