is there any way you'd re-sign with the Packers?
If I'm not mistaken, his contract is up after this season.
He's wasted 4 years of his career already and this will be number 5 now that Favre is back. It is "possible" that the Packers will still trade Favre but I can't really see that happening.
Plus, Favre has played this "will I retire or won't I game" for the last several years and will probably do it again next year and the next year....
Nope, even if Rodgers wins the job in camp, I can't see him staying beyond this season. The fans have talked crap about him all off season and no matter what he does, they'd always want Favre back. He's got to know that, if he falters and pretty much every first year starter is going to falter, the fans and media will call for Favre.
The only thing he can do is to win a Super Bowl as a first year starter...if he gets to keep his job beyond the next couple of weeks.
I wonder what the chemistry will be like in that locker room?
