Thanks for the response. You are right. Even if we chose our stars from the WPO, we probably couldn't field a better team. I don't know offhand of *any* WPO squatters that could get their current squats passed in the IPF, and this is not a slam on our guys. We just squat differently... more gear, monolift, super-wide stance, etc, and we have optimized for this condition. Not sure how long or what motivation they'd have for changing... seems like the WPO is providing them their needed competitive atmosphere.

If the IPF really gets serious about OMT, things will probably even out a bit more and the USPF is not a viable alternative either. We'd still lose or fail the tests.

I wonder why the foreign guys continue to thrive? If you took the drugs out of the equation, do you think they have better training, less stress (family, stressful jobs, etc)? I'm certain we have better nutrition, healthcare, etc.

I don't personally know any foreign competitors. Are they just like us? Maybe their lives are their training?
