We've discussed that a little bit. I think there is a little difference. I've seen a few of the the guys Steve mentioned in Furys dump them towards their heads and when it goes it just goes fast - too fast for the spotters to grab if they are not right in there. That's what happened to Womack with that 749. It flipped back and the spotters weren't there.

I've flipped back once in a Rage in training. It was slower and Buffington was able to grab it from the front.

The discussion we had was related to ripping vs flipping. If a Rage is too tight (me trying to fit into a shirt the same size as Lance wears), you are more likely to rip it because the chest panel is really tight - at least for me. Guys that wear a Fury seem to lose control and flip the bar back more.

The sleeves , especially for guys with larger arms relative to the chest, are tight and several guys hav mentioned arms going numb. Tom Hines told me that is what happened to him when he dropped the bar - I dont think he flipped it back but his arms went numb and he said he really couldn't feel the his hands, the bar etc and it just dropped.

The main problem is that we are all stupid and are trying to get every last pound out of the shirt (instead of getting stronger) and we are risking this type of injury rather than wearing a shirt one size bigger.

You can blame the shirt but kind it's kind of like driving too fast - the car isn't the problem the nut holding the wheel is the problem! LOL
