In Response To: HRT and Master Lifters (Garry Holmen)

Garry,
As you and I have talked about in the past, I strongly support the medically supervised use of HRT. But most Doctors will not give HRT to a person in the low normal range. They will only prescribe it if testing comes back below normal and only at the strength to bring the person up to low normal range. There is a lot of pressure from the federal government to use that protocol or the Doctor risks losing their license for inappropriate prescription of a controlled medication. Also insurance companies also take the same approach. My doctor had to document just that to have my Androderm approved for coverage.

Also I have read the WADA site from one end to another and failed to see HRT ruled out from the TUE procedure. Did I miss it? I have only found the HRT restriction on the USAPL site. Is this just the USAPL interpretation of does all countries follow that same restriction?
