In Response To: raw records (gary bess)

Gary,
IN NO WAY ARE THESE OFFICIAL:
I like, everybody else, do not have access to any official raw record file.

However: the numbers from the first Raw nationals should be the first full meet national records.

In this case @ 125K:
Jeff Thiele had a 305K squat,
Joe Dibert had a 220K bench,
Jeff Thiele beat Ken Ryder on body weight with a 305K dead lift, and
Jeff Thiele totaled 800K

At bench nationals Michael Belk benched 252.5K

These should also be the American records, unless someone recorded some with the proper judges and paper work previously. For instance if Michel Belk and the meet director had the afore thought to have all the paper work straight and the right judges recorded in the chairs last year when he went,

squat 319
bench 262.5
dead 305
total 886.5

If that was the case, then I think he/they would have case for claiming the American records.

I hope this information helps you to some degree, until the official numbers get posted somewhere. Judging from your numbers posted on the database last year, you could have a good shot at the deadlift. Good luck and train safe.
