To All,

I wanted to invite you all to take a look at the new "Archives" section of the USAPL NJ Powerlifting web site, which can be found at the below attached link. The result of over a year of effort this Archives section is a place where we will show meet results dating back to the very inception of ADFPA\USAPL Powerlifting in NJ in 1983. To date we have collected all of the NJ State Championship results dating back to the very 1st contest back in 1983. The meet results thru 1999 are the actual Powerlifting USA articles that were submitted for the meets, and most contain a nice write up about the meet action. A special thanks go out to Ron Falcone, who collected most of the meet results from his extensive Powerlifting USA magazine collection, and Joe DeMatteo our webmaster for putting the web site together. It was great fun, and a bit nostalgic, looking back at all of the names that have completed in this meet over the last 23 years. I personally "only" go back to the 1985 meet, which was my 2nd Powerlifting contest, but there are many names on these meet results that people involved in the sport over the years will certainly recognize. Going forward we hope to post additional ADFPA\USAPL meet results that have been collected, including Regional meets and even National Championship results. Our hope is that by remembering our past we can pay homage to those that went before us and at the same time also inspire and motivate the present and future NJ Powerlifters. Thanks for your time and attention.
