Good point. A couple of years ago a guy came up to me while I was judging. He was pissed off about something and ready to rip me a new one. LOL We discussed it and I told him "Sorry, I might have missed that" because I was focussing on something else the lifter in question had done on the previous attempt.

His attitude changed immediately, I think because I admitted that maybe he was right and I might have missed one.

On a related note, I've noted that lifters/coaches that approach me to ask why I've thrown a red almost always know the answer before they ask.
They ask what the red was for and if I say depth or missing the command, they almost always say "ok" and nod as if they were really making sure I saw the same thing they saw or felt.
