Stan Macrow is a good IPF ref and also a good lifter. He said that when he refs everyone starts with a white light and if he doesn't see anything wrong with the lift, then the light stays white. He doesn't let people off for squatting high or anything though!

I reckon that's how it should be done. I also agree that some people start with the intention of giving a red light and look for the lifter to justify switching it to white. That's BS!
