In Response To: on the other forum (jray)

While I normally do not cross post between forums as a rule... it was interesting to hear from the CPU lifters who got back from the same bench worlds.

Here is what John Giffen (one of our best benchers in the CPU) had to say:

So myself and Mike were waiting for the bus to take everyone to the technical meeting. A few feet away a fellow was standing by him and he proceeded to talk to us. Mike asked him where he was from and his response was Thailand.....I looked at Mike with a puzzled look as neither one of us was aware that anyone was competing from Thailand. So we asked him what he was doing there. His response was somewhat vague but he proceeded to tell us that it was easier for him to meet with a large number of his clients in one location then individually.

At this point he decided it was safe for him to open up. He worked for a company in Thailand that produces Steroids. Apparently it's legal in thailand. At this point he went on for 15 minutes or so telling us all about his business, what they made etc......so the bus arrived and Mike proceeded to the technical meeting along with., let's call him "Vijay". That's right Vijay participated in the technical meeting. At the meeting Vijay spent a large amount of his time talking with the russians, not that I am insinuated anything.

Anyways to shorten up the story Mike saw him on a number of occassions and he conitinued to lay down the sales pitch. How long it takes to get them out of the system, getting them into the country the whole deal. On the last day he approached a couple IPF higher ups and ended up getting removed from the venue........strange story

I know this brings up the knife to a gun fight comment a lot.
