So WADA went to Russian, Ukraine and Hungary to do some OMTs and half the lifters failed and a whole bunch more pulled out of the contest to avoid taking the test?
A few weeks ago, when I looked at the list of current IPF suspencions due to doping failures, I believe there were 8 Russians, 7 Ukrainians and 5 Hungarians on that list already. IPF rules state that a national fed "may" be suspended if there are more than 4 violations in a single year. Given that there appears to be a whole lot more pending suspensions, I hope the IPF does the right thing and suspends these feds from participation at international competitions.
There's been a lot of recent debate about how "clean" the IPF really is. Also, its been the ADFPA/USAPL's goal to "clean" up the IPF since it became the US affiliate. If the IPF EC stands strong on this and does the right thing, then this would be a HUGE step foward for what we believe in.
