Got back to the venue just as the opening benches were winding down for flight A. So far there were no misses.

2nds
Lee Anne DUARTE AUS opened with 42.5 and moves to 47.5 for her 2nd – takes the handoff, lowers and gets stuck about halfway up – no lift
Next up is Kimberly RYMAN USA – 55 kg – takes handoff – lowers to chest and presses up – a little tough in the middle but 3 whites
KUMPUNUEMI Eila – FIN – 57.5 – made 50 on 1st 0 fast and a 3 white lift
Same weight for Elvira Lorenzo of PHI – 2 whites – had a bit of trouble in the middle of lift
62.5 for TURUNIN of FIN – made opener of 55 – no lift – stuck ½ way up
65kg for VIITASAARI – FIN – tough but smooth – 3 whites
Same weight – OCA Leonora - PHI made 60 on opener - good lift
Janet Warne – CAN – same weight – slow but smooth – good lift
Kate Dingle CRAIG – USA – 67.5 – nice pause – very easy lift – 3 whites
Lucienne ARNAL – FRA – 70 – easy – good lift
Tanaka JPN – 72.5 – easy – 3 whites
ROMANO – Cecile – FRA – 72.5 – nice pause – very long slow hard fought lift – 2 whites!
HUNTER – Jenny GBR 85 - hard fought – oooh two reds
FRIEDRICH – Marion – GER – 95 – made 90 on first attempt takes handoff, bar at arms length – a little hard at reversal but with a shout she powers it up to two whites!

3rds
50 kgs for Lee Anne DUARTE AUS– missed her second – 47.5 but blew this one up like a feather to 3 white lights

57.5 for Kimberly RYMAN - USA made both previous attempts and ground out this one for two whites!
60 kg for KUMPUNIEME Ella FIN – fast descent – no lift –
Same weight for Elvira LORENZO of PHI – tiny woman with a single ponytail - takes handoff, lowers bar and pushes it up but it looked like it dipped a bit – no lift
62.5 for TURUNEN of FIN – pushes and pushes but no lift
67.5 kg for Janet WARNE of CAN – looks like it went back towards the face – no lift
70 KG for VIITASAARI of FIN – takes handoff and lowers bar long pause and no lift
72.5 for Kate DINGLE CRAIG – USA – she’s 2 for2 when she approaches bench – takes bar and blasts up another easy lift - - lift is good- could have done much more IMO
Same weight for ARNAL of FRA - takes bar out and grinds it up. Good lift
75kg for TANAKA of JPN – stalled halfway up – no lift
Same weight for Leonora OKA of PHI – no lift
Same weight for Cecile ROMANO of FRA bar up and down – no lift
Jenny HUNTER - 2 whites – 85 kilos
FREIDRICH-GER 2X BDWT – WR Attempt – 97 kg – made 1st two and …… lowers slowly and comes up – stalled ½ way up

2nd flight
YANAGIZOWA – JPN – 50 kg – good
Helen ALLEN – AUS – 60 kg easy good
Paula Wright – CAN 60 kg – 3 whites
Gill SMITH – RSA – 60 – good –
Joni MACH 62.5 – USA – a little slow on reversal but good
Antoinette KEMPER – USA – 75kg 3 whites
TERAMURA – JPN - easy opener – good 75 kg
PETROCZKI – HUN – 75 kg – easy
Merlina MEDINA – 80 – -easy
Jeanette GEVERS – 82.5kg –3 whites

80 kg got PETROCZKI Magdalena – HUN – started easy but then slowed to a halt – no lift
82.5kg for Merlina MEDINA – PHI good lift
87.5 for Jeanette GEVERS AUS – no lift – lost it. Spotters made the grab

3rds
Yanagisawa – 57.5 2 for 2 until this point – no lift
SMITH – 65 kg repeat of 2nd – good fight rewarded with 3 whites!
ALLEN – 67.5 kgs - also repeating - no lift – stopped part way up with left side dipping
WRIGHT – CAN –70 kg too heavy this day
Joni MACH – USA – 70 kg nice pause and easy lift – 3 whites
KEMPER – USA -80 kg - - lowers, starts up and no lift left side lagging – bar stopped
TERAMURA – JPN – same weight –popped off chest slowed a bit at top but she got it. Good lift
PETROCZKI – same weights – ground it up – 2 reds – helluva fight but not quite there
GEVERS – 87.5kg– missed this on second –no lift -
MEDNIA PHI _ 90 kg last lifter of flight - only 51.8 kg bodyweight but biggest bench for an EASY lift – 3 whites –

Shoto TANAKA JPN – 122.5 - made first two – no lift – got it almost to top but couldn’t finish it
Seija TURUNEN – FIN – 122.5 kgs – very hard lift – well fought – 2 whites
Marion FREIDRICH – GER – 125 – petite and determined lifter – great lift – 3 whites
Janet WARNE CAN – 125 kgs no lift – didn’t see this one
Cecile ROMANA FRA – 125 kgs no lift – came up slow and stopped about half way up
Kimberly Ryman –USA – 130 another hard fought lift with a yell at the top – 3 whites!
Lee Anne DUARTE – AUS – 135 kgs – up fast to the knees but just a bit too much
LORENZO – PHI 137.5 - very nice lift for 3 whites
Same weigh for Kate DINGLE CRAIG USA – easy lift and 3 whites to show for it
VIITA SAARI FIN – 140 kgs - starts slow but kept it going – good lift

Gillian SMITH RSA – 110 kgs – difficult above knees but she made it – 3 whites
Paula WRIGHT CAN – 117.5kgs – good lift
MEDINA PHI – 120 kgs 3 whites –
Joni MACH – USA – 130 kgs – hard fought – good lift for 3 whites to Johnny’s cries of HIPS HIPS HIPS HIPS HIPS – misloaded to 135 so got 135
Mika TERAMURA – 137.5 – good
GEVERS – missed at 147.5
150 for PETROCZKI – good lift
152.5for Helen ALLEN – AUS - just was a bit too much for her round back style today
Kemper USA – 155kgs – this was a grinder but she muscled it up

3rd attempts
YAMAGISAWA calls for 112.5 after success with 105, 220 and gets 3 whites
Gillian SMITH calls for 115 – fought for several seconds but just couldn’t lock it at the top – no lift
Paula WRIGHT CAN 120 kgs - made first two - nice lift and got 3 whites
Merlina MEDINA – PHI 122.5 – no lift – good try but too much
The ladies have been changing 3rd attempts to jockey for positions so the order keeps changing
Joni MACH – USA – 137.5 – she fought with this for about 5 seconds but it wasn’t to be today
TERAMURA JPN – called for 142.5 – came out and bowed to the bar, set up and pulled a hard fought but successful lift
GEVERS AUS – 147.5 – almost ran up to the bar set up and yanked but it pulled her back down
Another attempt change gives us –
Helen ALLEN AUS with 152.5 – she missed this on her second and will give it another go – she strides to the bar, bends down and no lift
Bar goes to 157.5 for Magdalena PETROCZKI of HUN – grabs it and pulls it smoothly to the top for 3 whites – very nice lift for a 3rd –
KEMPER finishes the flight with 165 kgs – a gets set and – stops – has time…. Red lights – not sure what happened there.
