Second attempts
ATTELANN – GER 165 kgs a little struggle on the way down but came up and got 3 whites 72 years old too
FUGLSANG DEN – 190 kgs tallest man I’ve seen so far with a rack height of 22. . Took bar out but had probs. Reracks and walks out strong – down and starts up but loses it forward and the spotters take over
BONNEAU CAN 225 kgs no lift – depth –
TAYLOR USA 227.5 kgs good lift 2-1 1 red for depth on the side
KRISTENSEN NOR 237.5 good lift
SMITH AUS 250 kgs 3 whites
HOLZL AUS – 280 kgs walks it out takes t down and comes up smoothly – 3 whites
STRONG CAN 285 kgs made an easy opener and comes up fast with this but gets 3 reds for depth
AALTO FIN 300 kgs takes it down DEEEP and comes up strong – 3 whites
LOGAN AUS 337.5 kgs made a very strong opener with a lot of speed on the ascent. A little shaky on the setup but another easy lift
HARRIS USA 385 kgs Tony walks it out, gets the command and takes it down deep and comes up slow but strong. 3 whites.

ATTELMANN GER – 175 kgs – no lift on depth
FUGLSANG DEN 190 kgs came up good but lift was turned down 2-1 on depth
BONNEAU CAN 227.5 kgs down and up strong and gets 2 whites
TAYLOR USA – 242.5 kgs - good fight and gets 2 whites
KRISTENSEN NOR 250 kgs down deep and up hard lift but he got it – 3 whites
SMITH AUS 265 kgs down fast, up and back down – no lift

GILLINGHAM Brad USA – 360 kgs – easily the tallest and largest and WIDEST man here today (rack height 24 has no trouble with this weight – 3 whites

BRUHN Klaus-Peter 150 kgs good lift
SEUTLWADI RSA 170 kgs good lift
SANDELIN FIN 180 – 20 seconds gets to platform gets the command at 5 secs down deep and up for 3 whites
HEYMAN Harry 190 kgs down and up and good lift 2-1
ANDERSON – Scott 267.5 kgs should have no problems with this based on his opener and buries it and crushes it. 3 whites
REINERS AUS – 260 kgs - started out of the hold and then lost it. The spotters are good. Very good.
GREEN Steven – 285 kgs – very solid set up. Down deep and up MAN STYLE – crushed it easily – 3 whites don’t know what happened on that opener but this was like night and day
KAIREVICUIS LIT 300kgs – another strong lift – 2 whites
SCHWANKE GER 300 kgs wow – looked like a warm-up. 3 whites
HENDRIX USA –332.5 kgs creeps down slowly and then dips into the hole and comes up fast – no lift on depth I think he just mistimed his hip dip as he looked totally in control of the weight
GILLINGHAM USA down and up strong – good lift 2-1 – oh man, he’s doing that grunt talk from the DVD. No one but Brad knows what he is saying. LOL

3rd attempts
BRUHN GER – 160 kgs down and starts up but can’t finish – no lift
SEUTLWADI RSA – 200 kgs another 3 whites and he’s 3 for 3
HEYMAN USA 200 kgs - no lift 3 reds on depth
ANDERSON CAN – 277.5 kgs another great lift and he’s 3 for 3
REINDERS AUS 280 kgs – lifter times out
GREEN USA – 315 kgs – down and up easy and he gets 3 whites!
KAIREVICUIS LIT 322.5 kgs shaking like a leaf – spotters close in but he takes it down and up strong but he cut it – 3 reds
SCHWANKE GER– 325 kgs down and oohhh great catch spotters
HENDRIX USA 340 kgs down and up sticks in middle but he grinds it up – no lift 2-1 on depth
GILLINGHAM USA 390 kgs down and up shouting – good lift 2-1

KRISTENSEN NOR – 150 kgs - no lift 2-1 looked like bar was up and down to me
TAYLOR USA – 157.5 kgs timed out before the command – got to platform pretty late into timer

HOLZL – AUS – same weight –easy lift
FUGSANG – DEN 192.5 kgs – down and up strong – 3 whites
LOGAN AUS – 210 kgs – no lift right arm failed him
AALTO – AUS -222.5 down and up – good fight – 3 whites
HARRIS USA – 227.5 kgs no lift – missed about ½ way up
BONNEAU – CAN 230 - missed this on opener; takes it down another long pause and no lift – stays on chest – he can’t seem to stop bar moving at the bottom He looks pretty solid while lowering but at the bottom you can see the bar moving around

KRISTENSEN NOR – 150 kgs – missed this on last attempt - - presses it up here. 3 whites

TAYLOR USA -157.5 kgs – pushes it up slowly and 2 whites
STRONG – CAN 190 kgs down and up but then dipped towards face

BONNEAU CAN 215 kgs - up 5 kgs from a tough 210 second. Came up a little bit and lost it. No lift
KRISTENSEN NOR – 227.5 kgs no lift – looks like he pulled something – no lift
TAYLOR USA –easy – 3 whites
FUGLSANG DEN252.5 kgs loses it at shins no lift
HOLZL AUS 290 kgs - an easy lift for 3 whites
SMITH AUS – 297.5 kgs he’s fired up for this and looking to go out with a bang and he pulls it up strongly for 3 whites
STRONG CAN – 312.5 – this is for the gold medal. He strides to the platform to the delight of the crowd. It’s just too much this time and dies at the shins
LOGAN AUS – 320 kgs walks out fast with his head down. Sets up and pulls it up strong and fast – 3 whites
AALTO FIN – 330 kgs he changes his lift to move up on bodyweight. He’ll move from 3rd to second if he makes this lift: It’s up and it’s down. Died at shins.
HARRIS USA – 365 kgs - He’s already at 900 kgs for the total and this will move him from 1st place to 1st place. Bar is loaded. Pulls it to mid thigh but it stops him there.

GREEN USA 300 kgs - very tough strong pull for 3 whites. Great fight!
HENDRIX – USA 325 kgs – this would give him the win on body weight over Green. No lift –Green wins!
GILLNGHAM USA 395 kgs last lift of the day and would give Brad the WR and a WR Total He comes up strong off the floor and it slows at the knees ooohhh looks like he might have hitched it a bit. Locks it out and judges say GOOD LIFT. He gets it 2-1. Great effort.
