The music, or lack thereof, is one of the things that I don't really like about USAPL meets. I didn't notice it until I started competing at some of Steve Denison's USPF meets. I think the DJ he uses strikes a good balance between playing some loud music, getting the crowd into it, and making sure the lifter and spotter loaders can hear all the commands.
