In Response To: hernia surgery recovery question (Ryan)

I had one in January 2005. I was back lifting in 4 weeks. I am 50 yrs old and a 132er.
The Dr actually sewed the mesh(tacked the corners I believe) because I was a powerlifter.
You will have some problems with pain from the muscles stretching around the mesh from time to time whenever you make a wrong move. But the pain just lasts a minute or 2 and eventually will go away when (around a year) the mesh gets situated. Good luck...my recovery was better than some that i have heard about.
