There was a reason they did away with the Press command in the bench press, it was too inconsistent between judges. I’ve seen some of the other federations, the press command is a joke, you get the press signal as soon as it touches the chest, so this will NOT add consistency between federations. I have waited a long time for the press command from a head judge in the past for no explainable reason. I like the current two commands, and if you need a coach to yell “press”, then great. Otherwise, practice a good pause, and start to press at your own rhythm. We don't do a "deep enough" signal in the squat...
