Good to hear from you Steve!

Andy Scardino told me about the Pineridge Mall meets but I didn't know ADFPA held meets at old Sports World. After Sports World went under the building was changed into a church.

Currently Fitness Inc. (in old Westwood Mall) is the center of powerlifting in Pocatello. It's owner, Bill Davis, has been hosting two powerlifting meets per year since 1990 - the state meet in November (Saturday before Thanksgiving) and each May (Saturday before Memorial Day weekend).
Bill lets us keep chains, bands, boxes, boards, weight-releasers and sleds is a utility closet in the gym. He also has bought a custom-made reverse hyper-extension machines and glut-ham raise for us.

Funny thing is that Bill himself does not lift but he likes pwoerlifting a lot more than bodybuilding (that's unusual for a gym owner) and he believes totally in USAPL as the only powerlifting federation he will do business with - due to its drug policy.

For the past two years USAPL in Idaho has also been holding a high school state championship in nampa. Eventually I would like to find a meet vene for a late summer meet so we can serve the lifters better in northern Idaho - along with adjoining sections of Washington and Montana.

Thanks for the extra info on powerlifting in Idaho!

Sean
