Rich,
There are a couple of things to consider.

1)The USAPL found itself in a similar situation a few years back. USAPL suspended Wade Hooper for violating a rule by accepting money at a meet.

USAPL however handled it masterfully. They enforced the rule on the books and suspended Wade. It was a no win situation. Enforce the rule and look like jerks. Ignore the rule and look like you're playing favorites or are corrupt. If you have a rule you can't just ignore it because the guy is a good lifter.

USAPL then made haste in correcting the problem. The rule, it realized, was outdated. USAPL took steps to get the rule changed at the NGB meeting so Wade could lift and other lifters wouldn't face the same problem. Hopefully, this will be an example for the IPF.

2) I just wanted to thank you for calling it the Frantz lawsuit and not the Inzer lawsuit. Over the years I've seen a few people make that mistake "accidently on purpose."
