Kevin,

It will always be the high profile lifters who get punished. It is rare to see a non-World Class lifter get targeted by the IPF. The very nature of the IPF level makes any lifter suspended a high profile lifter in their own country. Only the best of the best compete at the IPF world level, therefore only the best of the best will be suspended. The IPF removed Liz's punishment. It is a shame they did not come to this determination until after she was replaced on the team. Remember, very few American lifters have been targeted by the IPF in the last 4-5 years. In truth, the opposite may be true. Brian received only a written warning for violating 10.11 last year, while 8-10 other IPF lifters were suspended for the same infraction. I disagree with the rule, but the IPF has been fair in this case. Larry and Johnny are working hard as always to solve the problem. The entire IPF has gathered in Killeen. There will be a resolution shortly.

Eliot
