Regina, I just checked the USAPL site and it does say "National Meet Records" on the first index page.

I just sent off a note to Larry and Johnny to see if it would be possible to add something like:

"National Meet Records represent the best lifts performed at the respective National meets and, as such, can only be broken at those meets. American records, however, can be broken at any USAPL competition where the appropriate referees are present to judge the lifts."

that to the page that lifts all the National Meet Records.

Might clear up what that means. As we were talking I recalled that I've had quite a number of people come to local/state meets and ask if they could break a National record at the meet.
