IMPORTANT RULE CHANGES

Posted By: Jason Burnell
Date: Tuesday, 7 November 2006, at 12:01 a.m.

Hi everyone,

I'm writing this note because there are some significant rule changes
which will take effect on Jan 1, 2007.

Some changes effect weight classes for men and women. There are a
number of changes in the bench press including the return of the press
command, changes in the foot movement and head movement rules. There
are also changes regarding equipment.

Here is a link to a copy of the IPF rule book in which the changes
have been made. The old wording has been stricken through and the new
wording is there.

http://www.powerlifting-ipf.com/congress%202006/IPF_rulebook_changes_2006.pdf

I urge everyone, especially referees, to download and print a copy of
this because you will definitley need to know this stuff for meets in
2007.

The link is a .pdf file. If you don't have a .pdf reader you can
get it here: http://www.adobe.com

To the left you will see a tab for "Get Adobe Reader." Click the tab
and follow the instructions.

Best wishes,

Jason
