The MA/RI state meet was my first offical usapl competition and to be completely honest I was supremely disappointed on the inconsistancy of the judging. First of all, next time I think it would be a good idea to have the judges attend the rules meeting that the lifters do before we compete. Its clear that several of the judges did not know some of the rules that were being enforced. On more than one occasion i watched a competitor "suicide bench" and receive a good lift status when suicide benching was suppose to be illegal. Also judges were far too inconsistant from one lifter to another. I guess i expected a lot more from a federation that prides itself on be a strict drug-free federation...
