Its not a violation of Federal law.
We have rules via the IPF & USAPL involving lifts and procedures. Some are for saftey of the lifter.
Had the lifter in question dropped the bar on their face after you allowed them to use a thumbless grip in violation of our rules who would handle the problem???
This is not about allowing a physically handicapped person to lift, its about allowing a person to lift in violation of the rules.
Didnt anyone at the meet have a rule book handy???
No grey area about the grip in question. Its not allowed.
