In Response To: Officials (Bill Jr.)

It was with some interest that I began following this and the related threads. When it became clear that these comments were about the RI/MA meet that I attended this past weekend my interest increased. I am not affirming nor refuting comments made. However, I would like to offer my perspective. To me part of competing at a meet is dealing with the environment specific to THAT meet. That includes the meet local (warm-up area, warm up weights, bars etc)lifting platform, staging area, judging, size of flights, rhythm of the meet, etc. No meet is perfect whether at the local or world level. What has contributed to my growth as a lifter is learning to deal with meet situations as they arise and somehow figure out how to use them to my advantage in that meet or in a subsequent meet. Just my opinion.
