2007 Women's Nationals- Information

I am currently finalizing Entry Forms for the 2007 Women's Nationals. They will be emailed and posted on the Louisiana USAPL Web Site this week. Please email me if you would like one emailed to you. I am also building an address book to keep lifters up-to-date with important Information.

(Note: Event officials may change the Schedule of Competition to facilitate the best format depending on the number of entries received by weight class.)

Thursday – February 15
All Day Arrival of the Participants. Complimentary airport transportation (to and from the Baton Rouge Airport) is available upon request; please contact the hotel’s Transportation Coordinator at (225) 930-0150. Be sure to state that you are with the Women’s Nationals event (lifter, judge, spectator, etc.) Check-in time is 4:00pm and Check-out time is 11:00am unless special arrangements are made in advance.

Women’s Committee Meeting: 5:00 PM
Referees Testing & Technical Rules Meeting: 6:00 PM (Please contact Technical Secretary)

Early Equipment Check: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Friday – February 16
Session I: Women: 97 lb *for Teen & Juniors only, 105 lb, 114 lb
Weigh-In/Equipment Check: 10:00 AM-11:30 AM
Lifting begins: 12:00 PM, awards immediately following
Early Equipment Check: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Saturday – February 17
Session I: Women 123 lb, 132 lb
Weigh-In/Equipment Check: 7:00 AM-8:30 AM
Lifting begins: 9:00 AM, awards immediately following

Session II: Women 148 lb, 165 lb
Weigh-In/Equipment Check: 12:00 PM-1:30 PM
Lifting begins: 2:00 PM, awards immediately following

Sunday – February 18
Session I: Women 181 lb, 198 lb, HW
Weigh-In/Equipment Check: 7:00 AM-8:30 AM
Lifting begins: 9:00 AM, awards immediately following

Admissions: $10.00 each day or Weekend Pass $25.00
Coach’s Entry Pass: Each lifter will receive one coach’s pass for the day that she lifts.

Eligibility: The Women’s Nationals is open to current female USAPL members in good standing (membership applications will be available at weigh-in) who have obtained the qualifying total in the designated division and weight class since Jan. 1, 2006. You may enter multiple divisions if you meet the age and qualifying total for each division entered.

Women’s Wt. Classes (lbs.): 97, 105, 114, 123, 132, 148, 165, 181, 198, 198+
Divisions: Open (age 14 and Up), Teen I (14-15), Teen II (16-17), Teen III (18-19), Junior (20-23), Masters: 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; 85-89; 90-94

Individual Awards: 1st – 5th place awards will be presented for each weight class and division.

Outstanding Lifter Awards: Best Lifter Awards: Light Weight; Heavy Weight in each division
