I received an email from GINA STEPLETON answering this question. Here is her response.

Yes, if a bench in a 3-lift meet is better than the single bench record, credit will be given if the appropriate do#####entation is submitted.

The same applies if the raw record is better than the equipped record or an open record. Appropriate do#####entation must be submitted.
