I'm with you but I think we are among the few. Like I said, I've asked before and almost everyone says they don't care so much about the awards BUT I look at meets and meets with lots of divisions flourish out here.

Look at Bench Nationals. Look at the WABDL meets in Sac and Reno. Look at some of the AAU meets Martin puts on. You put out the divisions and people will enter them. They are giving people what they want. We can argue about rules and gear differences but from what I'm seeing, divisions and records AND awards make a difference.

Put on a good meet, with the divisions and nice awards and treat people well and things will grow.
You put out a record and someone will take it. If we don't realize what people want we are going to fall behind.

I like the USAPL medals and it's cool to put them over peoples heads Olympic style but you can over do even a good thing. Maybe we should work with Midwest to design or adapt a few more USAPL-centric awards.
