THE IRON SMITH GYM CRUCIBLE

By

Iron Smith

Strength is Really an Essential Thing!
Developing Strength of Body and the Will to Win!
However from the Wisdom of the Ages We have been Taught,
“A Chain is only as Strong as it’s Weakest Part!”
Physical Strength is but one Component,
Of Forging a Warrior King’s Herculean Heart!

May We Know when to Feel Real Pride in Serving Others with Our Might,
Tempered with a True Sense of being Humble than “Always being Right!”
For Strength without Purpose for the Good of All....
Is Like Fashioning a Crucible of Cast-iron,
That's but an Empty and Hollow Shell!

Fill the Crucible with Values and Courage,
Melt in Elements of Tolerance and Consideration.
Combine Strength of Relationships and True Appreciation.
Vigor is Added to the Aggregate Alloy and Poured into Our Bodies and Souls.
Strength of Spirit Fortified with a Life of Good Works
Without Fear of the Toil.

Within Our Constructed Chain-mailed Chests
Are Hearts Tempered with Strength of Character,
May We Face the Tournaments of Life with the Courage to Test Our Metal,
Against Gravity, both Heavy and Somber!
With Code of Honor To Always “Do the Right Thing”, by Others Near or Apart,
An Infrastructure of Strong Convictions Tempered with Compassionate Hearts!
True Civility!

Though We must Steadfastly Struggle throughout Life’s Quests and Crusades,
At Times We may Suffer Sprained and Bent of Limb,
Oh, the Disappointment of Battered Heart, Dampened Hopes,
And Loss of Hollowed Sweet Dreams.

Oh, Weary Knight of Iron Realize at Your Darkest Hour,
The Greatest Demonstration of Our True Strength is to Mend the Ravaged Wound!
Braze Our Bruised, Fractured, and Broken Parts,
With New Welding of Fortified Alloys,
Draw Close to You Your Loyal Comrades Bonded by Fire and Storm!
Rise Up Again with the Renewal of Valiant Hope!
Brave Contests and Worthy Deeds are Yet to be Done!

And if Through the Passage of Years and Ordeals,
Our Bodies should Eventually become Worn Down, or Weak and Frail,
In the Iron Smith Gym Crucible We will have Forged a Legacy of Enduring Strength,
For All of these Gifts We have Chosen to Cast Not Only for Our Selves!

With Generosity and Good Faith We Pass Forward,
To those Gallant Young Warriors that Follow Our Journey of Sweat and Toil.
The Next Generation of Mighty Men and Women Forge Ahead!
May the “Anvils” have Served as Glorious Examples of Worthy Knights,
Ah, What Real Strength Is Truly About!

The Bequest has been Bestowed!
The Gauntlet has been Thrown!
A Crucible of Intensity.
Forging Dreams into Reality!
First Man Made the Iron,
Now Iron Makes the Man!
