("With regard to Lowe, many feel he should not be allowed to lift in USAPL.")

I have not seen that subject broached before, so just put me in that category too.

("Others feel that our legal system has meted out a punishment for him and that if he is serving his punishment, that is all that is required.")

I think it's a privilege to lift in the USAPL, and it would okay for certain behavior on AND off the platform to deny that privilege. (Expanded from the present list.)

("I personally have mixed feelings. I've been a death penalty supporter because some people just need killing.")

I agree.

("That goofball from Oklahoma City? No, not Rickey Crain.")

LOL!

("My only problem with it now is that hundreds of convicted cons have been released in the last several years because DNA evidence proved that they were wrongly convicted.")

I've amended my death penalty position to include a, 'smoking gun' clause. To prevent mis-executions, the killer would have to be caught in the act. (Or subsequent chase.)

("But I digress....(as I often do)")

Me too.

("Back to Beetle Lowe... This topic have been discussed for years. It comes up every once in a while.")

See? Not since I started reading here. Thanks.

("Most of the guys who have worked at prisons supprt the prisoners lifting....")

I'm fine with lifting and unsanctioned meets.

("If guys pay their debt and want to lift, I don't think we should stop them.")

When is the debt paid? When they get out? When their parole is up? If a sex offender's debt is paid, why does he have to inform the State of his whereabouts?

("USA Powerlifting started a youth division and was forced to stop that by the IPF.")

The USAPL keeps youth records, and the IPF has Sub-Juniors. They can't vote.

(" What about known violent or sex offenders?"
They should have been exectued already so that isn't really a powerlifting issue, per se.)

You are humorously deflecting the question.

("I doubt any meet director has the time to screen the audience for ex-cons.")

What about a simple clause on the meet app?

=============================
Jason, I'm just throwin' stuff out there. Thanks for the vine....
