Even as I welcome you, I must make a few things CLEAR.
This is not the ONLY unofficial USAPL board. I want to make absolutely certain that you are aware of that. There have been accusations that I created this board to FOOL you people into thinking that is is the "real" unofficial USAPL board.
So, let me make it perfectly clear - BRAD MADVIG created the Original Unofficial USAPL board AND it's been around since 1998. 1998 PEOPLE. You bedda recognize!
Just wanted to get that cleared up in case you wandered into our "cheap immitation" "clone board" by mistake. I wouldn't want that kind of guilt.
Now, if you're sure you're in the right place...... welcome.
I've been to Minnesota once. People seemed friendly, despite the fact that they didn't seem to notice that they were freezing.
It was March and as my plane was landing the pilot announced that we were in luck because it was "WARMING UP TO THE LOW 20s."
I kid you not. As a California native, I had no concept of "warming up" to a point below that at which water (and human bodypart for that matter) freezes.
Now, Fran. Please keep in mind that this isn't a roast. A roast is done on someone you like and respect.
So, when we tease Wade about his Daisy Dukes and fanny pack... that's a roast.
On the other hand, I'm guessing that you are laughing for the same reasons we are.
