Expanding on my response on the other forum, if she can justify sharing a belt with another lifter who is using one anyway, maybe she would not see it as being contrary to her beliefs. I would just hate to see a new lifter shy away from the sport over this. Even if she bought a belt, she would literally get an entire lifetime of use from it...decades of use. I do not believe in taking supplements, and so I don't. I do take a 1-A-Day vitamin, though. Everyone needs to allow themselves a reasonable amount of wiggle room without feeling like they have abandoned their principles.
