One of the points is that we have too many divisions.

I couldn't agree more with Eliot's statement. As an athlete, I'd prefer to be 3rd in a field of 10, that 1st out of 2. However, as a businessman, I must cast my lot with Jason. If he doesn't give his customers what they seek, another meet director certainly will do so. If I were unconcerned with the financial success of a meet, there'd be 5 weight classes, 4 adult divisions, absolutely no gear, handoffs, or monolifts, and 2 hr. weight-ins.
