I actually do not think the IPF cares whether more people squat over 1000 lbs or bench over 700. I do think they are becoming concerned over how much the newer equipment is increasing lifts.

Agreed. It makes it look like the shirts do all of the work and people less. Just a perception from a casual viewer.

I think powerlifters through out history have been looking for that advantage over their competitors. The new equipment is just the latest 'iceberg' on the horizon.

So where do you roll the equipment back to? Do you leave it as things are today?

I think that is a trivialization Deep. For instance if the IPF rolled back material to the older Z-suit/marathon/centurion days do you not think this would impact the manufacturers? They all have spent quite a considerable amount of $$$ and time to develop the new material, update their equipment lines, marketing, etc.

Plus the impact to the lifters. Could you imagine telling a guy showing up to your next meet that his Hardcore suit isn't allowed or that his NXG+ Fury is not approved? LOL It's bad enough with boots and socks!
