In Response To: Unusual amount of bombouts at BP Worlds? (Greg Stephens)

It is my experience as a referee and a lifter for almost 30 years, that bombouts are normally caused by egos and not by tough judging.

Too many lifters, especially at world meets, go for broke, when they should have "opened" with a lower weight.

You do get three attempts for a reason.

Been there, done that, have the shirt.
