At the National meets, I think medals are great. Most folks that make it to that level already have a few trophies, swords, or whatever. Best lifter, like I will ever see one of those lol, should be sculpted trophies..but small as Kevin said they are tough to travel with. However, at the local level I think trophies, swords, are better. Jack up the price a little. Most of those folks will not get a chance to compete at the national level. Give them something to show the grandkids someday, of course make them pay for it in fees though.
