All,
Pending the completion of drug testing (Of course), the IPF will accept records set in St. Louis, and given that IPF referees were on the Jury, Mr. Hollenbeck's as well. Thank you very much on behalf of the lifters affected. Please note: With the best of intentions, we screwed up. However, EVERYONE realizes that mistakes happen, sometimes equipment doesn't arrive, and that somethimes we just dont' catch a record when it happens. We do the best we can. We make due with the equipment doesn't arrive, and try to do the best we can for the lifters.
It is also is the responsibility of the lifter, and coach to inform us of a record attempt simply because we are human and miss things. Lifters and coaches, please also track the records and notify us. Write it on the attempt card and tell the expediter. It can't be missed that way. Records are always available at the jury table. Open American and World records are tracked on the Marksteiner program on the overhead.
Please now stop all the IPF bashing over this (are you listening, non-members on other forums?). We will be more careful in the future. Lessons learned. LJM
