If you are having ankle problems FYI a lifting shoe is available with a built in ankle support---its a shoe inside a shoe.
The shoe is sold out of Texas and and is advertised in Powerlifting USA.
The IPF has checked the shoe out and said it was OK.
Its called the "UB"
