Cheryl,

To address some of your concerns.

I was never given any specifics as to how the new results / rankings system was to work. I only knew what the end result should be and set out to build the best system possible. This system is a big improvement over the old ways of storing meet data.

I had initial design of this system done almost a year ago, and contacted the USAPL that data entry was ready to start in September of 2008. Had someone from the USAPL leadership taken action then, we could have had rankings for 2008 done by January of 2009. Unfortunately that did not happen.

We finally got some movement on doing data entry a few months ago. So far it has gone slow, but we are now beginning to pick up some steam. Yes, it sucks that it is taking so long. Someone use to be paid to do this. Now it is being done by volunteers.

I think USAPL members should be kept informed as to the status of this project and welcome anymore questions anyone might have.

In addition, I don't know of anyone being worried about making me "look bad". Nor have I been babied. If I have made any mistakes in this project I expect to be held accountable.
