new bench rules?

Anybody know of any initiative to get the thumbless grip allowed on the bench and maybe the ability to raise your head. I can live without raising my head but I have come to love the thumbless grip! I never thought it would be that big of a deal to switch back but trying it in the gym today made me feel way off.

I doubt the rule will change but if nobody asks...

Thanks

Jerome- considering a return to the USAPL sometime early 2008???
