speed bench percentages

I have a question on what percentage of your max weight you are using for speed work. I've heard alot of people training with too heavy of a weight. I'm using 185 and when i explode off my chest through to lock out, my shoulders and back come off the bench about 3inches. It actually happens at the top of the lift, when I stop pressing and begin the decent down for the next rep. The answer is go heavier right? Is there a set percentage, or just by feel. anyone else have this problem?
