If I am not mistaken, the first Bench America world edition featured a number of top ranked IPF lifters and a number of IPF officials were in attendance. It was not run under IPF rules so 1) why would the IPF officials be in attendance and 2) why wouldn't all the lifters have been suspended?
This reminds me of the Ernie Frantz law suit and if the IPF were to attempt to enforce it, there would probably be another law suit come out of the US which would ban the IPF from holding meets in the US again.
I say, lift where ever you want. I can't believe the IPF would hold lifters accountable unless they lift with a suspended member.
I do however wish that someone from the US would put a motion in to eliminate this particular rule
