I JUST RECENTLY SAW TOM AND ELLEN AT THE AAU WORLDS IN ORLANDO THIS PAST OCTOBER. THEY LOOKED HAPPY AND HEALTHY AS ALWAYS AND THEY BOTH REMEMBERED ME FROM 1995 WHEN I COMPETED IN THEIR HOMETOWN OF LAKELAND FLORIDA. TOM EVEN SAID JOKINGLY HE KNEW IT WAS ME CAUSE HE RECOGNIZED MY VOICE. ELLEN COMPLAINED TO ME ABOUT HER ACHES AND PAINS BUT MENTIONED THAT SHE WAS STILL SETTING RECORDS IN HER CLASS. THEY WERE A BEAUTIFUL COUPLE OF SENIORS WHO GAVE GENEROUSLY OF THEMSELVES TO THE SPORT. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH ELLEN & HER FAMILY
