Not how the IPF could run their business other places, just how they could not run it on USA soil. Just like any other international corporation that chooses to run part of their business in the USA, they have to abide by USA laws. Simple. I can't believe that any intelligent person or group of persons at the head of the IPF at that time could think they could tell USA lifters where or when they could lift here. Sure they could refuse them out side the USA but not here. If they didn't consult with legal representation the time, they should consider it this time around or history will repeat it's self.
By the way, Garry, do you know of any other international federation of any sport under the IOC that has a similar restriction of competition that the IPF has just reinstated again? I may be wrong, but I don't think so. I wonder it he IPF ran this new rule pass the IOC before they did this. It may be counter to present IOC principles. I think the cheese may stand alone.
