Even 3(e) of the IPF rule book states what I've already said:

(e) Only bars and discs that are listed on the IPF Approved list of apparel and equipment for use at IPF sanctioned competition, as current at the time, maybe used in the setting of World Records

It says explicitly bars and discs and not squat racks, benches or other.

At the local level you have to submit a whole list of information back to the IPF and none of it indicates the squat rack or bench used though again you have to indicate barbell and discs.

I put on a meet last year where one of the members of the technical committee was the technical chair. 3 world records were set, 2 still sit on the IPF record page. None were set with approved racks nor benches.

Show me the rule where it states that approved racks and benches must be used for World Records. I can't find it. Bars and discs... yes I agree.
