In Response To: One of the reasons why I really like Shawn's rack (Dean From Oregon)

That's great if Shawn sells a quality piece of equipment. The problems I have with the ER type racks I have lifted on are that the bench pad is very stiff. Also, I have never measured one, but the bench seems narrow, and not very high off the ground. The narrow pad is hard on the shoulder joints, and a short bench makes it hard for the competitors to keep their butt on the bench. I don't want to point out only negatives, so I will point out some positives. I think the ER type racks are excellent for squatting. The squat portion of the meet seems to run faster with ER type racks.
