1. Can you substitute High-Bar Squats for Manta Ray Squats? Any other modifications, such as narrow stance, etc.? How heavy do you go on these, percentage wise?

-You most certainly can. The program in PLUSA is the one I used for worlds. I used the same basic program for National but with a few changes. One being that I did front squats instead of the manta ray squat. High bar squats would be fine.

I don't really use a percentage for these. It is mroe of a feel. I worked up to high 400's for these and it was a moderate to heavy poundage for me. A weight that challenges me for the sets but isn't really close to failure.

2. What are Dimmel Deadlifts? How do you cycle these, or do you use a constant weight?

-These are deadlift with a conventional stance. You start at the top of the movement (Lockout) and you lower the bar to just below your knees. Keep a tight arch in your back. The weight is fairly light since the reps are high. I started at a moderate weight and progressed with 5-10 pound jumps every week. I also used a double overhand grip to work on grip.

3. Do you vary the number of boards you use for the board press? How do you cycle these?

I used the same boards throughout. I wanted to work at what I felt was my weak area but it could also be cycled if you wanted to.
