USAPL California Summertime Push/Pull & BBQ - 8/16

The location and format of the USAPL Northern California Powerlifting Championships has been changed. In spirit of the summer season, we will be presenting the USAPL California Summertime Push/Pull & BBQ on Saturday, August 16 at Velocity Sport Performance in Santa Clarita.

Although the competition platform will have the usual bells & whistles (ER Rack, Ivanko plates, computerized scoring, etc), the format of the event will focus on fun and camaraderie among lifters and friends.

We will have single-lift competition in the bench press and deadlift in addition to presenting awards to the top five Push/Pull finishers by formula for those lifters who choose to do both events. Single-lift records may be set at this meet.

After the event, we will be hosting a BBQ for all lifters who compete to enjoy with friends and family. So, it will be lifting in the morning and BBQ in the afternoon.

One entry fee of $40 for one or both events. Single-lift State records may be set at this meet. An entry form will be available shortly at www.usapowerlifting.com.

For those looking for a full powerlifting meet in order to qualify for USAPL national championships in 2009, we hope you will make plans to attend the Southern California Regional PL & BP Championships on Saturday, November 15 at the same location.

It should a lot of fun and I hope you will make plans to attend.
