Dear Ron. Sorry I was not able to catch up with you during your visit. How was York? Different from York, Pennsylvania I expect. Gary Conway was raving about that shirt fitting of yours. He lifted very well at the British Unequipped. Paramedic Steve DeMeis lifted in the British Unequipped after being first on the scene of a fatal 90mph RTA - the car was cut in half after twatting a tree - five teenagers inside - four dead one dying. Steve attended from 2.00am to 6.30am. One hour shuteye then drove straight to the weigh-in. He made an easy 402 British Unequipped Record for 50-plus at 242. 418 would have gone. Allan Hulme made a 402 BR Unequipped at 50-plus in the 275's. I was not going to catch Allan so just concentrated on going 3 for 3, falling in behind Allan and outdistancing the third 275 who was an Open category lifter.
