Sad to hear, but "innocent until proven not" is the way we would all expect to be treated. Given the history of spurious test results in cycling and France, I think there will be more to this story. As for us clean atheltes, we need to be aware of all possible, even if unlikely, confounding variables that we can control.

If truly positive, Landis may have been given an agent with androgenic potency to get "up" for the next stage. An anabolic would unlikely repair all that damage in one night, even with i.v. nutrition. Fascinating.
