Lifting In Another Federation *LINK*

I have started back training since my injury (tore the upper two ribs away from where they attached in the back, and I have a question.

I would like to do a meet sometime in October to keep me on schedule for the Woman's Nationals. There are no USAPL meets close to where I live at that time, but the AAU is having there World Meet October 21 and would like to know if there was a way I could lift there to gauge my progress, and still lift in the 2007 Woman's Nationals. someone said that if i lifted in their world meet, I would be unable to lift in any IPF world meet Y/N? Is this a blanket ruling, or does it go by a calender year.

Just seems kind of restrictive to place that strict of a stipulation. If that is the case, would lifting as a "Guest Lifter" be a way to circumvent the IPF ruling.

Just trying to get some insight to what I have to do in order to stay on course with respect to rehab and training.
